I had managed Davids recovery from his PCL rupture whilst he was a player at West Ham United.   David had moved to Manchester City and then onto Portsmouth. Whilst he was at Portsmouth, he started to have problems with his knee again. His surgeon Andrew Williams and I suggested to David that he should re-introduce the strength work we had done whilst he was at West Ham.

I was now working as a freelance Consultant Physiotherapist with various players.

Between 2007 and 2010 I travelled once a week to Portsmouth to do specific strengthening work with David.

In preparation for the 2010 World Cup, David and I felt that he should get a shoulder injury dealt with that had been niggling away all season.  During the off season in 2009, David had a labral repair of his shoulder by Mr Andrew Wallace and a clean out arthroscopy of his problem knee. I attended both operations and saw through his complete recovery.

There are many clips on this site of the rehabilitation process I took David through.
